Four Day trip to Marietta Ohio via Morgantown Wv and Thomas, Wv

A nice 4 day motorcycle trip to several of my favorite towns in Ohio and West Virginia. On the way out I stay at Morgantown WV in a lovely old Hotel called the Morgan right in the down town section. The next day I headed to Merietta Ohio that is right on the Ohio at the confluence of the Ohio and Muskingum River, by way of Moundsville WV where I crossed the Ohio and rode down the Ohio River Road to Merietta where I stayed at the Lafayette Hotel that dates back to the 1800's. It sits right on the River there is a lovely park right across the street where one can sit and watch the river traffic go by. On the return leg I stay at the Purple Fiddle Guest House in Thomas WV that sits up on the Allegheny Plateau. All three locations are some of the oldest towns and cities in Ohio and West Virginia, with Merietta being the first settlement in Ohio and Morgantown being the home of the West Virginia State University. Thomas is by far the smallest and was an old logging and coal town, the other two could be properly considered cities, especially Morgantown though I don't know the exact population size of any of them.
